I just watched the replay. Seems like a good call by the admins to me. Not that you care, it's only CTRA apparently. The admins put a lot of effort into providing CTRA for free to people who appreciate it.
This admin clearly decided that in the light of your driving behaviour, your attitude to other drivers, and probably your attitude generally, that the CTRA would be better off without you. And I can't argue with that at all! _________________ http://www.hopkinson.net |

I do appreciate what the CTRA has done and the work that goes into it, but this staunch, unwavering, holier than thou attitude is frustrating at best.
When I had a genuine concern and a valid reason to post about a ban that I had no clue why it was even assessed. The admin here didn't seem to want to help out a fellow racer and assumed that it couldn't be a mistake, for the CTRA computer is all mighty and infallibe. There is no replay or any evidence that I removed anyone, except some report from who knows where. Perhaps that was good enough for those who have developed the system and I even admitted that I may have removed someone by mistake, but that didn't seem to matter. Instead I get some crap about how I should take responsibility for my actions.
So fine, when I finally was unbanned, I went onto the CTRA server with a bad attitude and wrongly took it out on others on the server. By the way on that day I had run a bunch of races before that, without incident, but you didn't see those replays did you?
I believe and still believe that my first ban was unwarranted, unfair and the admins here were totally unsympathetic to my case. I usually am not so spiteful but comments like "Frankly I think you need to start to accept responsibility for your own actions, deal with it and move on" made me think you guys just don't give a crap about me or racers like me and are some "all holy" force that cannot be reasoned with and that is simply wrong.
I'm done and unless another incident occurs, or you guys write more that confirms your unsympathetic nature, I've nothing more to say on either of these issues and you can close this one up and toss it into the crapper where it belongs. |

you moan about this comment but this comment is a thing you have to do in life, you have to take responcibility for your actions whether or not you ment them and deal with it then move on, it is something you have to do.
i sympathise with the fact it may have been a mistake but dont you think everyone has tried the 'it was a mistake' line in the past whether it was or not, but even as a mistake you have to take responcibility
oh and as i side note i am not looking at this as a ctra admin cos i am not one _________________ as said by jakg"the wheelspin as eddy runs away" wtf? me and mikey want a dogbot!!!

| OK, so I "moaned" about a pompous, and arrogant comment, fair enough, but why is it that since 2006, when I got LFS, I've never ever had a problem with other guys removing others from the grid in any race, on any server, anytime, anywhere except on the CTRA servers? |

the reason you will find it may hapen more on ctra is because there is maybe more of a sense of competition and of trying to acieve a goal and to do this some people go to any lenth no matter how rude or annoying _________________ as said by jakg"the wheelspin as eddy runs away" wtf? me and mikey want a dogbot!!!

It does happen everywhere, just less common because few servers actually properly rotate tracks, most it's KY1/GTR(or BF1) or ASNat/GTR... People by nature are impatient. The server has been screaming "Don't remove people from grid" for a while.
If you were to appeal this before in a positive light, I'm sure the admins would have seen it in the same light, however your anger and annoyance towards the admins aren't going to win you any remorse. _________________ Currently taking a break from the Internet to deal with my hand.

I've been removed from the grid lots and LOTS of times on CTRA servers, and other servers - i remember once on a server which was advertising a new patch (the devs would take a screenshot of the grid and then put it on the main page of LFS.net) i was removed from the top of the grid so that someone else could take my spot to be at the top of the grid.. _________________ www.Jakg.com |

It really is a shame that there isnt an option for the server cfg to disallow anoyone to remove players.
I nice idea would be to only allow server admins this privilage.. and also to add players to the grid making events easier to manage... but i guess this is one for the LFS devs and not CTRA _________________ http://danashurst.com |
